Find a place to make a fire!

Sitting by a crackling fire is pure bliss, offering warmth and tranquility in nature. In the Woods of Halland, there are numerous fire sites and campsites where you can relax by the flames, cook a meal over the open fire, and unwind in the great outdoors. Some of these sites are located along scenic hiking and canoe trails, and some are close to refreshing bathing spots. Many are also conveniently located near areas where you can park a camper or van, making it easy to enjoy both comfort and adventure. Whether you seek the solitude of a forest corner, the serenity of a lakeside, or the thrill of a canoe journey, these varied sites offer an unforgettable experience, with something special for every nature lover.

As you enjoy your time outdoors, remember to be cautious. Always bring water with you to ensure you can safely extinguish the fire when you’re done. And before lighting a fire, check if there is a fire ban in place, especially during dry conditions. A fire ban may be enacted if it’s particularly dry in the forests and fields. You can check for fire bans here.

When you make a fire in Woods of Halland

  • Choose a place where the fire is not likely to spread. Gravel or sandy ground are suitable surfaces.
  • It is best to use a camping stove or a designated fire pit.
  • Always bring water with you to extinguish the fire.
  • Avoid lighting a fire near anthills or stumps, as they are difficult to extinguish if they catch fire.
